Lando now introduce our new Uncapped Solution for all ADSL users. No longer will accounts be limited to the amount of data consumed during the month. Line speed will be the only factor determining the price of uncapped services. This ADSL service is shaped and runs on the IS (Internet Solutions) backbone.

Notes

  • These uncapped services are suitable for all ADSL users if data usage exceeds 4GB per month on a regular basis.
  • 384K, 512K and 4096K uncapped ADSL accounts are available. Although the ADSL line speed is independent from the uncapped ADSL account speed, it must balance in order to be effective.
  • This service is activated on a prepaid basis, irrespective from date of activation. That means the service will be billed for a full month even if activated later in that month.
  • Apply before the end of a particular month to ensure activation within the first 2 working days of the new month.
  • 30 Days written notice is required for any cancellation, subject to a 12 month minimum subscription for new subscribers as per the standard contract.
  • A Telkom ADSL account can remain active in case of any problems on the IS network. Usage will be billed as normal if the Telkom account is used. This service is especially beneficial for a business that requires an uninterrupted ADSL connection. Please enquire about this option when applying for uncapped accounts.

ADSL pricing and policy


Now there is no need to battle with Telkom anymore for ADSL. Contact Lando direct to get connected with ADSL.


This entails that Lando will handle the application for the ADSL with Telkom. You just fill in the forms and we take care of the rest.


Please follow the steps below to apply for Uncapped ADSL:

  • You must have a regular phone line to follow these procedures.
  • Click here to check whether ADSL is available in your area. As a rule of thumb, ADSL is usually available within a 5km radius from a Telkom exchange.
  • Click here to download the ADSL application form or contact Lando at 0861 414243 to get the application faxed or emailed to you.
  • Fax the application back to Lando at 0861 100036
  • Lando Support will process the application with Telkom and monitor the upgrade of the line to ADSL.
  • Lando Support will contact you with an estimate on when the line will be upgraded. This entails an upgrade at the Telkom exchange in your area.
  • An ADSL modem will be couriered to you within days before the installation is done. The modem will be pre-configured with your username and password already assigned to you.
  • No installation charges are levied on the self installation basis. The normal Telkom charges will apply if a Telkom technician needs to install the ADSL. You are however at the mercy of Telkom for when the installation can take place.
  • The installation is however in no way difficult and can easily be done with assistance from Lando support on 0861 414243. We will be glad to assist you in any way possible with installation of the router.
  • The service is available on a month-to-month basis and can be cancelled by giving 30days written notice. You will however have to return your modem if you cancel your service within 24 months from signing up.
